paradox |ˈparəˌdäks|
noun
a statement or proposition that, despite sound (or apparently sound) reasoning from acceptable premises, leads to a conclusion that seems senseless, logically unacceptable, or self-contradictory

When believing in or "for" anything in the Christian walk, there are certain absolutes that must be settled before proceeding.  Without a solid foundation in the finished work of the cross, Christians of all walks have derived some of the most non-sensical, frustrating and blasphemous concepts known to man.

For instance, Galatians tells that we HAVE BEEN healed by the price that Christ paid yet in modern Christianity we're told that God doesn't heal anymore.  Jesus told us that we were to do the works the he did (and greater) yet we question when miracles happen.  Jesus is the EXACT representation of the invisible God and went about healing all yet we're taught that it's not always God's will that we be healed.

The church has presented a contradictory view of God than what Jesus showed us.  Well meaning believers read the Bible and even pray for healing but pray prayers that are filled with unbelief.

Jesus said that all things were possible to those that believe.  Jesus equated the kind of belief that we needed to walk in to a child of low intelligence.  Jesus example of believing was overly simplistic yet believing seems so hard to us.

Jesus said that if doubt not in our hearts that whatever we say would come to pass. Romans tells us that it's with the heart that we believe.  Believing is a matter of the heart.  If we already are accepted in Christ, if we have already been made holy, unblamable and unreprovable (as Colossians tells us) then there's no working for righteousness and the benefits thereof.

Jesus took the punishment for our sin as well as the effects for our sin.  We are exempt from punishment AND the effects of sin if we are in Jesus.  The problem is in what we believe.  As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.  In a way, we're more powerful than God in that what we believe comes to pass in our lives.  What you believe, deep in your heart, will come to pass more than God's will for your life.

Renewing our mind and believing God's truth in our heart is our only hope.  We have a faith today that makes excuses for God.  When what we believe doesn't work, we erroneously think it's God's decision.  Then we take the leap and start saying "why" God is not "letting" it work or why God is "allowing" something to stay in our lives.  Either conclusion is supposed from an incorrect scriptural position.  Circumstance theology is more prevalent than adhering to God's word.

The bottom-line is this, Jesus presented and qualified us for a quality of life that most of us are not experiencing, including me.  Let's try this, instead of blaming God, let's take responsibility for the mess we've made out of this world, walk in the rightful place he put us in (having dominion over the Earth) and show the world the same God that Jesus introduced.

Let's choose to be convinced of Jesus words and make believing an easy walk into promise as opposed to clouding it with our misconception that it has anything to do with our performance.  Believing is a matter of the heart, not something attained by performing and self-qualifying.

If you (and me) could see through Jesus eyes, we would so easily shed our sickness, destructive beliefs and sin and walk holy as God is holy.  Righteousness produces holiness and God already calls you holy.

We owe the world a type of Christian that walks as Jesus said we would.  Let's choose to believe and reverse the effects of sin in the world and individuals lives.  I proclaim that life, health and love shall prevail!
